Getting to Know Keith Elliott
Keith is a lifelong resident of Fairfax County and graduated from McLean High School in 1982.
At an early age I learned the importance of giving back to the community. I saw my dad volunteer and coach little league baseball for well over 25 years. My mom assisted my dad and also volunteered every weekend at the concession stands. I remember doing the field clean up, and making repairs to dugouts, fences, and concession stands. I think seeing how much my parents enjoyed giving back to the community and volunteering for the kids instilled in me the same passion for community and kids that I have today. There is a great joy in giving back and serving in the community.
Keith had a very successful career in Hotel Management through 1995, and while at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner, I assisted in winning the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award for outstanding service.
In 1995, I transitioned to real estate. Joined Keller Williams Realty and served on their Agent Leadership Council for several years. In 2004, I got my broker’s license and had my own office through 2009. I added property management to my real estate business and at the same time managing several Condo’s and HOA’s since 2012. Currently I manage a large-scale community of more than 2000 homes.
One things remains consistent with my professional career, it is they are all associated with serving others and I want to now serve Fairfax residents on the County Board of Supervisors.
In 1987, I moved to Centreville and have been in Sully District ever since. I raised my two kids from my first marriage here. They are now adults. One lives in Manassas, VA, and the other is in Breckenridge, CO.
I remarried in 2014 and live in Centreville with my wife and two sons. One is a junior in Westfields High School and the other is a first grader at Deer Park Elementary School. We also have a nutty, yet awesome beagle/bull dog mix named Rudy.
My volunteer involvement
Keith says it brings him joy to give back to the community and have a positive impact on others. He has been active in his church, leading a men’s bible study and also a part of a team leading men’s bible studies in Kenya through Men of Valor. Additionally, he has been particularly active serving children. He has coached youth soccer for many years and lead youth bible studies in his church. he is committed to serving others and supporting children, recognizing that they are the future leaders of our community.
Keith’s skills focus on administration, communication and organization. He has particular experience with management, budgeting and fiscal responsibility. He has a unique ability to show respect for others and remaining flexible and empathetic. Listening, understanding and being compassionate to the needs of individuals in our community are skills that are desperately needed in the Board of Supervisors.
Keith’s personal slogan as a realtor and real estate broker was “Using My Gifts to Faithfully Serve Your Needs, Not Mine!
That personal slogan will remain his slogan as a servant leader on the Board of Supervisors. “I pledge to faithfully serve the best interests of the residents of Sully district over my own”.
